Ein sehr gutes Buch, das ich innerhalb von 2 Tagen verschlungen hatte und bei dem man am Ende eigentlich gern wieder von Neuem anfangen möchte um zu schauen, ob man eingangs nicht ein paar Hinweise auf den Mörder übersehen hatte. Denn mit diesem Ende hätte ich nicht wirklich gerechnet und frage mich immer noch, wie er das so alles bewerkstelligt hat. This book grabs you from the start and you will not be able to put it down. It is told mainly by Charlotte, with chapters from Madeleine and from Anon. This book is so addictive , so unpredictable, with a massive twist near the end that will blow your mind! If you are a lover of psychological thrillers then this is the book for you. This is Hoffman’s best work ever. And yes, it is better than Retribution! In an era where authors are shying away from the technology of cell phones, internet, forensics, etc., by setting their books in the 1980’s and 90’s, Hoffman steps up to the hi-tech mountain by devising a plot based on chat rooms and internet anonymity. And she does it in an uncomplicated, highly readable style.
