En skråslynge kan også bruges til vugge-stillingen, men erfaringsmæssigt er det en bærestilling som kræver en del øvelse. Hvis du er i tvivl kan du altid lægge vejen forbi vores showroom og få hjælp. You can find an overview of our different baby carriers here. You can also find out which carrying system is right for you and whether you would be better off with a sling or a baby carrier in our baby carrier advisor.

A bit fluffy and with inherent diagonal stretch, it has a slightly grippy texture that makes it easy to manipulate and to adjust to all ages and stages. Once tied, carries stay in place. DidyTip: Try both variants and discover the fold that suits you best - at a babywearing consultation, in our store or via our DidyTry offer. What materials is the ring sling made of? A medium weight fabric, Marta Rosewood Jubilee is a ravishing triblend woven from rosewood coloured organic cotton, white hemp and a dash of gold shimmering Tussah silk.

Origin of diddly

An elastic sling is knitted, a conventional sling is woven. This results in different wearing characteristics.

Our DIDYMOS slings are available in different sizes, from very short to very long. Generally, you can carry your child with any sling length. The size you need therefore depends on the combination of your preferred tying method, your body size and your clothing size. Once your baby has better head control, you may want to try hip carries. Most babies enjoy riding on your hip as it gives them a better view of the world all while they feel safe and protected. Carrying like the 1970s! The classic hip carry is well suited for super short wraps sized 1 or 2 – convenient and super easy. As an introduction to tying and for newborns, it is recommended to learn the Front Wrap Cross Carry, as it forms the basis of all other tying methods. You can find other tying methods as well as detailed tutorials and video instructions in our instructions.

Which sling size do I need?

Woven wrap slings (which most are) come in a variety of colours, designs, lengths, weaves and blends. Are They Good For Newborns? Babies particularly enjoy this position on your hip, as they have a wide line of sight and still feel safe and protected. Part of the Prima series, DIDYMOS Marta wraps are all-time favourites and they make great slings that are much loved for their top quality and soft textile feel. Our founding mother Erika Hoffmann became a mother of twins herself 50 years ago, 1971, and was looking for a way to give her babies as much love and affection as her other children and at the same time be there for the older siblings.

A classic carrying method, the Front Wrap Cross Carry has become an all-time favourite. It is best suited for little babies and babywearers with little or no experience. If you are looking for a sling for the entire carrying period, a woven baby wrap sling is a good choice. These are also available in particularly soft materials, such as wool. What is the difference between a sling and a baby carrier? An illustrated description and detailed instructions for carrying with the ring sling on the hip can be found here. For intimate moments: Centred on front For newborns, premature or (small) babies, we recommend a front carrying position which makes sure the baby’s little body is well supported. The front carry allows you to keep your baby in view and to respond early to your child’s needs.

Pay attention to the correct tying method and make sure that the airways are always free. You can find more about this in our warnings. En ringslynge fra Didymos – eller DidySling som den kaldes – giver dig rigtig god bærekomfort til både dig og dit barn. Barnet bliver aflastet og du vil opleve god ergonomi.

The gathered fold (R) for the shoulder is often perceived as particularly pleasant and comfortable, because the fabric can be fanned out over the shoulder, adjusted more precisely and thus the weight can be distributed more evenly. At the same time, especially slender and petite people often find a pleated (S) shoulder design more comfortable. You can read about the difference between the gathers and the pleated fold here. A bit stiff in the beginning, hemp fabrics break in beautifully and get soft and mouldable. They are known for aging well; the more you wear them, the softer they become.

What materials is the ring sling made of?

The decision whether an elastic or woven sling is more suitable for you depends on the age of your baby and the expected duration of use. These slings are one of the most versatile types of baby carrier and will last right from when your baby is a newborn well into toddlerhood. They are great for newborn snuggles, but they are equally great for using with a toddler, when they are at the 'up and down' stage. Sometimes they want to walk, or sometimes they want to be carried - ring slings are great for this as they can fold up nice and small and be put into your bag when you're not using it. What Is The Best Ring Sling? Sounds like a fantasy film and is at least as exciting: the Poppin’s Hip Carry is a double layer tying method on the hip - ideal for bigger and heavier babies and toddlers.
