The iHome Millennium Falcon Bluetooth speaker is small but mighty! It has a good audio output at 3 watts. It is a clear stereo sound with powerful bass. You can control the volume using your mobile device. Its connectivity is up to 30 feet wirelessly. Battery and Charging That’s certainly what attracted Disney and Lucasfilm when ACWorldwide pitched it to them, but it still took four months to hammer out the details. Unsurprisingly, both companies were heavily involved, and signed off each of the five individual design stages, leading from 3D printed versions and separate moulds, andeventually to the final examples you see here. When it’s all set-up it’s amazing but getting the Death Star to float takes some time and patience to find the “levitation point”. Looking to take your audio capabilities over to the Dark Side? Award-winning designer Plox is looking to allow any Star Wars fan to instantly transport to a galaxy far-far-away with their Death Star Floating Speaker. This is a floating wireless Bluetooth speaker that is meant to double as a gravity-defying orb replica of the famous Death Star from Star Wars.

Once the two speakers are paired, the dominant speaker you need to connect to – which in my case was the Stormtrooper – will appear in the available devices list in your phone or computer’s Bluetooth settings. Some have reported quality issues, with the iHome Millennium Falcon Bluetooth speaker stopping working after a few months of operations. This is the magical spot that will magnetically grab the Death Star speaker with equal force from all sides so it that it can float in place. The two speakers ooze character and come with a number of easter egg features that will delight any Star Wars fan while annoying everyone else. The characters’ eyes and mouths light up when you power them up and blink whenever they shout one of their character’s iconic phrases. The random jibber jabber takes place when the speakers are idle, and also occurs when pairing and when their batteries are low, essentially replacing regular Bluetooth speaker cues with their own audio files. It didn’t prove to be annoying during my testing though; I found it more charming than anything else. As speakers they don’t match the sound quality of more focused products, like the Sonos 1. But that’s not surprising given their focus on aesthetics and authenticity to the movies. The audio quality is decent and matches some competing speakers in the same price point, like the Ministry of Sound M Plus.

They did plenty of that. Walking to the room where the video was shot, almost everyone who passed stared, smiling. Star Wars, and its many characters, continues to have a draw that’s more powerful than we possibly imagined. Have one of these on your shelf, and the conversations will start themselves. Better yet, have more than one, because they’ll link up to provide true stereo sound — a real challenge to implement, according to Papa G. It’s like trying to find a pinhead with another pinhead – and each wrong move drags the speaker to the edge of the magnetic base with a thunk. From there you have to wait a few moments for the speakers to connect to each other. Once the two have found each other their coloured light eyes will begin to glow and the speakers will bark one of their iconic characters’ catchphrases to let you know they’re good to go. It comes with a floating stand – this is a cone that attaches to the base and allows the user to make it easier to pinpoint the levitation. As a Star Wars fan, this is one of those must-have products that I would have bought just to watch it float majestically in mid-air and spin on its axis.

With an unparalleled level of detail, incredible sound quality and awesome functionality, this C3PO Speaker is a must-have for any true Star Wars fan. The speaker itself rotates above a handy magnetic base while providing 360-degree sound quality for up to 5 hours of continuous play with a Bluetooth connection. With 5W capacity and iOS or Android connectivity, the speaker touts the ability to rival any speaker on the market today. Does it live up to its claims? Now what you get in the box is a base with the Star Wars logo on the front and the Death Star speaker. Once again, the LED light comes in handy, as when you begin pairing the LED will pulse blue. As soon as the device is connected, the light will stop flashing and maintain a static blue appearance. Connecting is simple. All you have to do is press and hold the power button until it connects to your device. Levitation Feature

These stunning Star Wars speakers are as much a fan collectible as they are capable Bluetooth speaker, thanks to attention to detail and cool design. And the other impressive thing is that when the Death Star is floating there, it’s pretty sturdy – you can touch it and will still sit there. The Force is strong with this levitating Death Star Bluetooth speaker that magically defies gravity and rotates above a magnetic base and streams your music at the same time. This completely eliminates them as a genuinely compelling portable speaker set – unlike the stellar UE Boom 2. But, in all fairness, that’s not what these speakers are about. AC Worldwide has taken a lot of care over the physical design because it wants them to act as centerpieces in people’s homes, and in my mind it’s succeeded completely. The most impressive feature of the Death Star Floating Speaker is its overall appearance. A levitating orb doubling as a Bluetooth speaker is not only aesthetically pleasing, but it should delight any true Star Wars Fan. In terms of usability, the speaker performs well, but it isn’t going to blow the minds of a regular audiophile.

Fitted with a 2.1 sound system and 2 x 3W speakers with a 10W down-facing subwoofer, connect to your PC, music player, tablet or smartphone to enjoy phenomenal sound quality with plenty of bass. And if you connect your phone via Bluetooth using the easy pairing, you can even enjoy the hands free call function, with this clever droid muting your music while you chat. Pairing your device to an individual speaker can be done over the air to any device with a Bluetooth or NFC, or you can go old-school with the included 3.5mm cable.

ACWorldwide have been producing licensed audio products for decades, but this was one of their most ambitious projects yet. Smaller speakers portraying popular Star Wars characters have been seen before, but this is the first time such large, and intricately detailed speakers with Bluetooth have been produced.

With last year’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens smashing box office records across the world, it was inevitable that Star Wars fever would take over every where you look. From action figures to branded merchandise of every conceivable type, I shouldn’t have been surprised when it was announced that two Star Wars Bluetooth speakers were being released. Even more they are fully licensed but my initial fear was that the speakers would be style over substance. In an already crowded market, with varying results rarely determined by price, Bluetooth speakers are in abundance so can these Star Wars speakers stand out? Chopin’s nocturnes also sound reasonably good, with both C-3P0 and the Stormtrooper providing enough clarity for me to discern each individual keystroke and hear minor changes in phrasing.

On the front of the base are a series of button that allow you to change the level of bass, and the volume. For once this is a speaker that actually give you clearly decipherable levels of bass when you press the buttons. To be honest I didn’t need to play with the bass too much but it definitely made a difference and I was impressed. As long as your device has Bluetooth, you can play music wirelessly from up to 30 feet away. The iHome Millennium Falcon Bluetooth speaker is a great addition to any fan’s life, and let’s take a look at some of the finer details about what makes this worth it to buy. Specs
