The only reason I can see for getting the adapters is that you want to be able to charge both MagSafe and USB-C laptops and carry only one charger. Yes this might be a bit more unsightly than your current two cables, but should be simple to accomplish, and can be as easily well hidden as your current setup. When the next generation of processors ship and Apple delivers even more performance while maintaining the same power efficiency I won’t be able to pull my wallet out fast enough. Granted, they are not cheap, but in the long run, are less expensive than constantly having to replace cables or accidentally breaking your device due to tripping over a cable.

ports allows you to charge two devices at the same time — and even charge your Apollo Ultra, while it's charging a device!

All that said, after a few weeks of usage, Tonya and I are happy with the magnetic charging nubbins on both of our laptops. Some of them are surprisingly inexpensive, but I also see user comments about devices getting really hot and failing. I’ve been trying to sort out which of these options to get for the MacBook I just bought on a Costco Black Friday deal.

In those cases I tend to listen for the Mac’s “connected” charging ping, but sometimes that’s hard to hear, and the lightning bolt on the menubar icon can be too small to see. As my company's computer and many PC (at least in Europe) have USB C male outputs I wondered if USB C to Magsafe 1 cable existed. This adapter is specially designed for MacBook magsafe 2 power adapter, allows you to use existing adapter on the new type-c MacBook interface or other type-c interface notebook computers, mobile phones. Equally gratifying was being able to grab a MacBook off the desk with the merest wiggle to detach it from power. Compatible with: MacBook Air (11-inch, Early 2015), MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2012 - 2015), MacBook Pro (Retina, 15inch, Mid 2012 2015).And by MagSafe, I mean the original MagSafe charging plug technology that Apple introduced in 2006 on the first MacBook Pro. On a slightly different topic, does anyone have experience of adaptors which provide a magnetic charger for USB-C? In the section, "What you need" I have posted the name of the cable CoreParts Magsafe1 for USB‑C Adapter Cable Length - 1.
