If there is a downside to it, it's the linearity, as that's Bvlgari's Achilles heel that they never seem to overcome. First smelled this on a friend who was standing about three feet away but the wind was blowing in my direction. While I have used perfumes that did not go with my chemistry, this is the only one that I had to literally scrub off of my skin to remove the smell. All I can say, this Bvlgari BLV, is one of the best Bvlgari fragance, and one of the best fragance all over the globe, mark my words, it smells like angels flying, is sweet and it also makes you feel alive and free, it is young, I would recommend it to all ages, to all of you out there,the dry down is so cool, I feel som citruses, and I adore the creatro the great perfume designer, the biggest nose, Alberto Morillas, the master, is classy, it last a huge amount of time in your skin, it has a great longevity, it lasts on you pretty sure more than 12 hours long,one of the scent for clubbing, great, great, great, you gotta have da.

you will have calm dreams if u are the kind of person whose smelling senses affect his/her general mood .Bulgari will never make a sillage monster, but if I give myself a liberal dosing (6-8 sprays) I can smell this for the better part of 8 hours. This is a nice feminine powdery floral, very well-balanced-I am smelling flax flower for the first time, and it does smell like a softer, less heady jasmine, with the wisteria. Blv pour Homme (Perfectly unisex by the way) by Bvlgari gives off an aroma of just coming out of the shower, fresh and clean and with the smell of your lightly scented soap still lingering on your damp skin.

On me, it's rather linear, from the beginning till the end, it smells powdery with a hint of citrus. I totally do not get people reviewing this as spicy, to me this is the ultimate Gourmand fragrance, very sweet, sugary, light, i hate to use the word chemical, but to me it is, on my skin it's like baby powder, even though it is a magical fragrance, i utterly love it. Imagine that pure, still dripping, out-of-the-shower scent, there is just something so sexy about that. I keep giving them a second chance to see if I've changed at all, but maybe we're just not a good match. But wait till you get to the drydown - it's pure bliss because the powdery vanilla notes work perfectly resulting in a smooth, sweet, (unisex) very classy scent. The cold accords of ginger, pure freshness of gorgeous wisteria and translucent musk are in harmony with the warm depth of sandalwood, feminine sweetness of flax flowers and softness of vanilla and acacia.

If the more popular Prada Amber is too powdery, resinous or sweet for you but want something in the same vein, Bvlgari’s fragrance might be your huckleberry. To me it truly entails imageries of deep blue, luxurious velvet, cool to look at, soft to the touch. My initial impression was that this was a masculine generic aftershave scent, but the middle and base of it are far more feminine. As a perfume collector, I smell everything I can, but I seldom find something original and nice as BLV. It makes an imposing bottle on the shelf in Ulta, all blue with "BLV" (pronounced "bliv") thereupon in Roman caps. It wasn't until I sprayed it on my shirt that learned about that beautiful bergamont and vanilla base, bc it was long gone off of my skin before it could get to that part.

It is important to note that the longevity factor alone should not be the sole determinant in choosing a perfume. Lately when I go out an sniff perfumes I either shrug in indifference or wrinkle my nose, having been deeply offended. The ginger comes across rather strongly at first, however the more the scent settles, the softer the scent becomes. I get lemongrass, a cool creamy base like face makeup or body lotion and the faintest hint of spice.

The middle notes were okay but they weren't interesting enough to make me forget that strong, almost offensive initial blast of ginger. It is worth mentioning that lasts long and the quality of the fragrance in terms of the considerable harmony of the notes is very good.
