Be Brave Little Noddy— that's the title of Chapter Three. Noddy leaves his car for repairs which will be expensive and trudges off to find Big-Ears whom he hopes will comfort him. His brownie friend is very constructive and immediately put things into perspective. Noddy could have been injured. He wasn't. He might have been told to pay for the fruit he messed up. He wasn't. Mr. Plod might have put him in prison. He didn't, and then Big-Ears tells Noddy he can find other jobs to do and advises his little friend to make up a Brave Song. Noddy doesn't want to but Big-Ears encourages him and tries to start one off but he hasn't Noddy's talent for composition so the Master takes over and comes out with a sixteen line song straight off the top of his head. There's a picture of him singing it with a very determined look on his face and his audience of two (Big-Ears and Whiskers the cat) look as if they're really enjoying his efforts to overcome this unexpected low-point in his life. While it's heavily implied that this character is the same character as Bunkey, this is never confirmed within the series.

Mrs. Straw (voiced by Susan Sheridan in the United Kingdom dub) lives on the farm with Mr. Straw and the farm animals. Noddy (1975-1976) - A series produced for ITV by Cosgrove Hall Films' predecessor company Stop Frame Productions. If it wasn't for Enid Blyton, Noddy would lead an extremely blissful life. From his humble beginnings as a Waif in the Woods he has risen to the status of model citizen in Toy Village. He has a very good friend (Big Ears), his own little house, a garage, and of course a car and he's working as a taxi-driver. Yes, it's life without a care until Enid Blyton comes along and spoils it for him — but only temporarily. If untoward happenings didn't occur in Noddy's life then the stories could be classed as Feeble and that mustn't be allowed. The Famous Five are four children and a dog — who star in another well-known series of Enid Blyton books. From the mid-1950s rumours began to circulate that Blyton had not written all the books attributed to her, a charge she found particularly distressing. She published an appeal in her magazine asking children to let her know if they heard such stories and, after one mother informed her that she had attended a parents' meeting at her daughter's school during which a young librarian had repeated the allegation, [80] Blyton decided in 1955 to begin legal proceedings. [1] The librarian was eventually forced to make a public apology in open court early the following year, but the rumours that Blyton operated "a 'company' of ghost writers" persisted, as some found it difficult to believe that one woman working alone could produce such a volume of work. In her leisure time Blyton led the life of a typical suburban housewife, gardening, and playing golf or bridge. She rarely left England, preferring to holiday by the English coast, almost invariably in Dorset, [72] where she and her husband took over the lease of an 18-hole golf course at Studland Bay in 1951.
