About this deal

Lizzie melancarkan aksi tutup mulut, yang membuatnya dijuluki 'Lizzie Si Mulut Terkunci' oleh Jake, salah satu saudara tirinya. Her characters are strong and memorable, the writing is superb and the storytelling is captivating enough to lure the most reluctant of listeners. One of Jacqueline’s most successful and enduring creations has been the famous Tracy Beaker, who first appeared in 1991 in The Story of Tracy Beaker. Lizzie is about to move in with her mum's boyfriend and two children, but due to a past experience with a violent stepfather, Lizzie becomes mute as she expects the new boyfriend's 'nice guy' act to drop just like the other one did. Then one day a member of her new family turns out to be even more stubborn than Lizzie, and things begin to change.

Jacqueline is also a great reader, and has amassed over 20,000 books, along with her famous collection of silver rings.

Jacqueline is one of the nation’s favourite authors, and her books are loved and cherished by young readers not only in the UK but all over the world.

The descriptions of the dolls are a very good feature in this though I do wish some more story telling could have been done between Lizzie and great gran. The only thing I would have liked to have seen more of is helping Great Gran ‘find her voice again’ as this is only covered in a few lines. As is typical of a lot of children, and sometimes of adults as well, Lizzie clams up completely and the only person she will speak to is Great-Gran, who she manages to form a bond with over their shared love of doll collecting. Lizzie Zipmouth is about a young girl named Lizzie who moves into a new home with her mother after her once-single mother finds a new boyfriend, Sam. This accessible, perfectly-observed story of divorce and life as a stepchild combines a big central theme with a short and easy text.

One of the reasons I remember liking her books so much was because she tackled ‘grown-up’ issues about the trials and trepidations of becoming a teenager, as well as the worries and mixture of hormonal feelings we all remember going through. In this case, it is me letting go of all of Jacqueline Wilson's books; ultimately decided after rereading 'Hetty Feather'.

In June 2002 Jacqueline was given an OBE for services to literacy in schools, and she was the Children’s Laureate from 2005-2007. page 15 (Lizzie is talking about her youngest stepbrother, Jake, who plays with thirteen Beanie Babies and likes tea parties and knitting). Inspired by 1960s pop and graphic art, his work is instantly recognisable for its bold images and punchy colours. The other Jacqueline Wilson books still seem a bit grown up for her yet but she enjoyed this as Lizzie loved all grandmas dolls !He has produced over sixty of his own titles, including much-loved favourites Ketchup on Your Cornflakes and Shark in the Park. In 2002 Jacqueline was awarded the OBE for services to literacy in schools and from 2005 to 2007 she was the Children’s Laureate. Lizzie's great-gran is then taken into hospital after suffering from a stroke and it falls down to Lizzie to help her get her voice back and start enjoying life again.

Her insightful and emotionally challenging books not only stretch reading ability, but give young readers a glimpse into many kinds of lives. This is another short story, ideal for younger readers, that chronicles the difficulties faced by a young girl as she struggles to adapt to her new living situation, with her mum’s new partner and his children. Disgruntled and unhappy about the way these proceedings are going, she doesn't try to make friends with Sam's two sons, Rory and Jake, and keeps to herself by not saying a word.Jacqueline Wilson wrote her first novel when she was nine years old, and she has been writing ever since. Double Act won the prestigious Smarties Medal and the Children’s Book Award as well as being highly commended for the Carnegie Medal. If you like super quick reads with chunky writing this is the book for you, it was a really nice story where there is a little girl and her mum living together until he mum meets an nice man with two sons, they move into his house but Lizzy doesn’t like it so she decides she doesn’t want to talk to anyone, even her mum!
