The longer lasting 100 lumen mode is decent when you want to extend battery life but I wish it had a middle ground, probably around 200 lumens would be best compromise between brightness and battery life, that's the only reason I've not given 5 stars. It has a setting of red light to keep your eyes adjusted to low light plus a strobe mode to signal for help.
