The AF-S/AF-C/MF switch is on the front of the camera; it's not on your lens or in the menus, Hallelujah! Once you get your menus and camera set as you want it it shoots fast due to all the dials, but unless you use your camera often you'll forget where to find things. If you're looking for something for action or sports with anything less than ideal lighting conditions, we'd probably look elsewhere.

As is commonplace with Fujifilm cameras, there’s a scattering of dials and buttons across the top and back of the camera, and a good degree of customization options. Also, have you stopped capturing the RAW files for your photos altogether, or do you occasionally find use for the RAW data? However, the lack of in-body image stabilization means the camera has its limitations for handheld work – you’ll be relying on lens stabilization, or shooting from a stable surface, for the most part. For greater post-production flexibility, X-T30 II supports F-Log video format, which allows you to record movies with a wide dynamic range, improving detail in highlights and shadows. It also has the new features which might possibly one day be added to the X-T3 via firmware updates, but also might not. Where Canon excels is with the articulated screen, a wider choice of lenses and a much, much better battery life. One of the disadvantages of a smaller than full-frame sensor is that low-light shooting can result in noisier images.

The good news is that there's only a DCIM folder on the card, not all the other garbage folders some makers like Sony throw on there. Reaching blistering speeds and working across the frame, X-T30 II ensures you’re perfectly equipped to frame every opportunity.
