Crusher’s auricles could have been a bit bigger for my taste, as when seated, my ears are partly under the pads. But a relative lack of detail and dynamic expression does mean it can’t rub shoulders with the best-in-class competition. The catch is that it can only affect frequencies that are actually present in the audio you’re listening to, so if you’re listening to an acoustic guitar with a singer, it will have much less of an effect. A notched plastic headband adjusts easily, and it’s one of the areas that looks a bit cheap compared to the rest of the headphones. Don’t let the focus on bass put you off if you listen to other genres though, as the Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2 handles them well.

At the maximum bass level, the effect is the same for the deepest lows, but you just don't notice it as much because the drum loop takes a massive step forward.
