About this deal

Jonathan and Maddie started spending time with each other and he proves himself to Kennedy and Maddie that he can now become the person they always wanted him to be. In fact, to say how this second chance standalone novel affected me is quite honestly, difficult to put into words. A very special little person who calms troubled waters so unknowingly, whose innocence had me on my knees, who makes makes this couple’s journey possible, strung my emotions in a knot, put me back together and left a huge smile on my face!

No, but he knew that she didn’t want Maddie to live with an addict and so he accepted her wishes to stay away from them. Kennedy is a single mother and Jonathan is a movie star and except of their daughter they don’t seem to have anything in common. i admire her strength for doing this because i’m sure it was one of the hardest things she has ever made. Felt it because this story had a lot of aspects in it that I could connect with a few parts of my life. When he wasn’t high, when he wasn’t drunk, when he wasn’t so utterly screwed up, I saw something in him, something I see when I look at Maddie. It literally broke my heart when he said "Tell that to someone who cares" Oh God it was so hurtful, I couldn't stop my tears at that. In fact, one of my favorite things about this story was the way that the past story and present story were revealed in such a manner that they were always "opposing".

It shows the unconditional love you have for your kids, that no matter what they do and how much they screw up.Not even a second of it because everything about this book is perfect even though it made me cry a lot. i get so sad when i remember the author stopped writing books and never gave us an extended epilogue or a novella ☹️ i would give everything to see more of these characters. I never felt his love for her at all and that’s what made him being so easily forgiven in the present so difficult to read. Kennedy gave up everything once for the man she loved to chase his dreams, and now six years later, she's still picking up the pieces that he left in his wake.

it’s told in alternating chapters between past and present, but it’s kind of different; in this one we get to know more of their past from Kennedy’s notebook entries, where she wrote details of their story from the very first day they met. We get to see the differences between the Jonathan now, and the one that Kennedy had to leave behind. At the point the story picks up, he is clean and sober and making amends, getting a second chance to slowly find his way back home. Seven words to describe Kennedy Reagan Garfield: Focused, heard-headed, nurturing, broken, lonely, responsible and strong.

From high school sweethearts to struggling Hollywood wannabees to two exes no longer on speaking terms with a child caught in the middle. I had no idea that I would like its premise and even end up counting down the days left before its release. Ghosted is told in split present-day first-person alternating chapters between the two lead characters – Kennedy and Jonathan – and second-person chapters detailing their past. No sugar coating Kennedy and Jonathan's relationship when Jonathan was a struggling actor and their realtionship was becoming toxic.
