About this deal

A mother and her two children set out on such a journey; one filled with fear of the unknown, but also great hope. Is it she or the the bird who engineers the magic carpet that will fit through the bars of her cage? I could add so many more details to that plot summary, but none of them are verifiably true and that’s the best part of Journey.

Becker's intricate and evocative illustrations capture the wonder and excitement of exploration, igniting readers' imaginations and taking them on a journey they will never forget. Journey by Aaron Becker is a wordless children's book about a bored little girl who's looking for an adventure.

But before he can explain, the king is captured by enemy forces and whisked back into his enchanted world. Aaron Becker has worked as an artist for film studios such as Lucasfilm, Disney and Pixar to help define the look and feel of characters, stories and the films they become a part of. So while Harold exists in the cold white plain pages of a book, destined to provide only one color for variety, this girl uses her one color to explore other colors and other worlds and other people and cultures. Frustrated by the confines of her everyday life, the girl discovers a magical red crayon that opens a portal to a whimsical world. Start with simple retellings of the bare bones before working in smaller groups to develop your stories by adding details.

With supple line, luminous color, and nimble flights of fancy, author-illustrator Aaron Becker launches an ordinary child on an extraordinary journey toward her greatest and most exciting adventure of all. Aaron Becker; creator of the award-winning Journey and its stunning; celebrated sequel; Quest; presents the final chapter in his luminous; wordless fantasy. The absence of words in the books also encourages readers to interpret and construct their own stories, fostering critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills. Create a video that shows the illustrations in the book and is accompanied by your own narration / speech. For my money, I think Journey stands up against not only the best picture books of the year, but the best books of the year as a whole. In a large, clear space, explore repetitive motions before creating a giant working ‘machine’ by combining individual actions. All of our books are 100% brand new, unread and purchased directly from the publishers in bulk allowing us to pass the huge savings on to you! Gradually she drifts into the watery highway of a vast and complex castle, peopled with fierce guards. Our Adult Fiction Books, Range includes Classics Novels, Comic Books, Crime, Thriller, Mystery Novels, General Fiction, Horror, Romance, Science Fiction and War.

Provide multiple copies of the book in small groups so that children can see clearly, or project the pages onto a screen, and take your time to explore each image and discuss.Well, Aaron Becker is a genius because I understood everything that I read and the images tell a spectacular story. Would Journey include both enough narrative and enough ambiguity to make for as interesting a read as Pool?

The book was well reviewed, receiving a starred review from Kirkus Reviews [2] and Publishers Weekly.Becker's skilful storytelling and breathtaking illustrations create an emotional and visually stunning conclusion that resonates with readers, reminding them of the transformative power of imagination and the importance of finding their own inner light. Sometimes she interjected to add something from a prior telling, others she inserted her own details. And I noticed that when I share a wordless book I already know, I tend to draw attention to details I know affect the story later, but since I DIDN’T know what was coming this time, we all ended up noticing a whole lot more!
