About this deal

They are a wonderful mixture of action and comedy (with a lot of swearing and gore, but so worth it) and they just get better as the series progresses. He swore he’d never set foot there again, but almost four decades after he left, Bob Hoon is finally going home.

We set up a limited company, contacted foreign rights sales agents, TV rights agents, we’ve now got a PR company involved. Meanwhile there is a takeover and he realises this when he comes out and being Hoon gets involved up to his armpits. Reading through the lines was stressful because the narrative lacked mystery and was more like an action movie script. I absolutely love the characters in this series and it was great to have a little more crossover between this series and the DCI Logan one. This is a bit of a Christmas crossover special, so if you are a fan of the DCI Logan series then some of your faves will make an appearance here too.

But the Noon series was a hoot, and I highly recommend it to anyone that doesn't mind blood, guts, gore, and a filthy mouth! Didn't think that we were going to be having a zombie in this book but by the cover art, I wondered. I want to warn readers that this story is violent, bloody, brutal and full of language, the language just as strong as the others, and if not more violent, by far more gory.Hoon is once more going to have to take on the bad guys alone, armed only with his wits, his fists, and his unique line in insults. But what I’ve found is, it does really well in the Highlands, my series, because people really like reading about where they live, but internationally it also does really well too. I have said before; Hoon is over the top, foul mothed, and eager to use violence as a blunt instrument to find out what he needs to know.

I had picked that one, Bones, for a few reasons, but mainly because authors Alex Smith and JE Mayhew have both recommended the author and series. The Hoon stories on the other hand are proving just as dark and brutal as Smith’s, and this one maybe even more so. And when my first Space Team book came out, a couple of people in that group who I’d not necessarily helped but who had seen me help others out, shared it, said check this new book out, and it just built from there. The whole series ran out of steam in book 3 and this book, the fourth in the series is weak both in content and plot. This book will satisfy that violent, explosive Christmas requirement for those that do in fact believe that Die Hard is a Christmas movie (IT IS!Consenting to these technologies will allow us to process data such as browsing behavior or unique IDs on this site.
