Each Monster, excluding Gold Epic Wubbox, the Wublins, Celestials, and Dipsters, have their own unique Egg, so even in egg form, it can be identified. Rares and Epics have their own egg designs now as well as the retained certain effect to the shell, almost like a shine. Epic Monsters have binds and a radiant glow around the egg.
Rare Monsters are a variant of regular Monsters that are more difficult to obtain when available for a limited time. These Monsters have the same song and animation of their common counterpart (with the exception of Rare Wubbox), but they generate more Currency. Outside of the Rare Single-element Monsters, they also have the same breeding combination, however their breeding time is longer. Once you obtain a Rare, you can breed it together with it's common version to get that common Monster 100% of the time. Spearfinger is part of a Cherokee legend. Normally, for something to increase a Monster's happiness, the two objects must be placed side by side. However, purchasing a Unity Tree from the Market (available at level 16) will allow decorations and monsters to be placed anywhere on an island, including into Storage or a Hotel, without affecting the Monster's happiness level.Rares are also uniquely available to buy in the StarShop when available. Since 2020, a group of 3 Rares (two Naturals and one Fire Monster) are available to buy with Starpower every two weeks.
