About this deal

I had raised fairly much every Angel from the 4h group so I pretty much knew exactly what to do to reach the rare Angels stage. This time my focus was on Adam and Kaworu as I didn't have enough battery left to get them first run. Anyway, a lot of reviewers said it was tiny and I thought, "They must have never seen the original Tamagotchi before" but it is indeed tiny! Look at how it compares to a USB dongle! Someone told me it was supposed to be based on the Tamagotchi Nano.

Evolution: The evolution of your Evatchi depends on how well you take care of it. Different care routines can lead to different evolutions, so experiment with different routines to see all the possible outcomes. The Evatchi Tamagotchi is very similar to the Demon Slayer Tamagotchi as you raise the actual thing (in this case an Angel) rather than raising a Tamagotchi with the assist of the character. I do prefer the former over the latter myself and am curious what determines which way the Nano will be. It does seem like most of them, however, both currently out and upcoming (R2-D2 Tamagotchi!) you get to raise the actual thing. If the Tamagotchi evolves within fifteen minutes of a discipline call, the user will still have a chance to discipline them until the attention icon turns off as usual. After raising all 5 common Angels from above; Sachiel, Israfel, Bardiel, Shamshel and Zeruel, here is how you can get Lilith and evolve her into other Angels, mainly Rei. Five seconds after the last sound effect is played, the Tamagotchi will enter a power-saving mode, indicated by the screen dimming slightly. It will come out of this mode the next time a sound is played, whether on its own volition or through the user pressing a button. The Tamagotchi can be kept in this mode perpetually by turning the sound off.

Playthrough

The replica uses a single CR2032 battery and the battery door has a single screw. There is an additional lip to hold the battery in place. Originals used two LR44 batteries and the battery door has two screws. Battle Training involves moving a platform to avoid the falling spears, which may be either the Spear of Longinus or an N2 Bomb, cycling from game to game. Pressing A moves the platform left, and B moves the platform right. The weapon must be dodged ten times to win a perfect game. Originals have soldered on speakers while replicas have coil speakers, causing them to have louder sound.

The original Tamagotchi (たまごっち) was the first Tamagotchi toy produced. It was released in Japan on November 23, 1996 by Bandai, before eventually being released in North America on May 28, 1997 by Bandai America. A second version, also known as the New Species Discovered!! Tamagotchi ( 新種発見!!たまごっち Shinshu Hakken!! Tamagotchi) in Japan, was produced not long after featuring new characters and a new game. The two versions are differentiated officially as "Generation 1" and "Generation 2", and are colloquially referred to as the "P1" and "P2" respectively by fans. The goal of this Tamagotchi is raise an Angel (the monsters of the Evangelion series), starting with fetus and cocoon stages before it becomes an adult. There are about 20 different adult evolutions, including two secret characters. Additionally, you'll have to keep it safe if NERV comes to try and kill your Angel.

I was provided with free Kaworu and Asuka Evatchi Tamagotchi devices from Bandai for review purposes. My opinions are my own.
