About this deal

From the church grounds you can see the property on Nanny Brow we saw earlier. What a lovely location! The Rempstone Estate is privately owned by the Ryder family. In total the estate consists of around 2,000 hectares (5,000 acres); 600 hectares (1,500 acres) of which are leased long term to Forestry England. Maiden Newton is on the route of the Wessex Ridgeway trail. It is also on Route 26 of Sustrans National Cycle Network. The core area of Hartland Moor was first designated as a NNR in 1954. At its heart is the 34m high Great Knoll, a bronze-age barrow now supporting dry heath with high densities of smooth snake and Dartford warbler as well as typical heathland flora. Hartland is dissected by two important wetlands.

Mr Hughes described much of the evidence he received as "gossip" and said he was unable to come to an exact date of death for Mr Perkins due to the number of different accounts as to when he was last seen. However he said it was likely his death occurred on October 15 or 16 and some time after this date his body was moved to the location where it was discovered on Bog Lane. Look out for the more unusual, non-native species of plant life brought to Durlston by its creator, George Burt – following the Victorian fashion for importing foreign and exotic plants. Of those that are still thriving here at Durlston, you’ll find Chinese bamboo, the Japanese spindle and snowberry from the U.S. The dedicated team of rangers and volunteers at Durlston means there is always an event, guided tour or conservation project going on – and the fully-restored Durlston Castle is one of their hubs. Ensure that new development promotes and reinforces or, where appropriate, creates local character and identifies and respects local heritage and patterns of development; Note that this walk has plenty of stiles and kissing gates to navigate, as well as undulating, uneven paths (some of which are quite steep at times). At Dancing Ledge, looking west To Worth MatraversThey were in fact erected in the second half of the 19th century: this stone (like many of the others) appears on the 1896 Ordnance Survey map, but not on the 1853 edition. And they were put up by the East Staincliffe Highway District (ESHD). This was one of many Highway Districts created in the 1860s, taking over the functions of parishes (who thus gave up their highways responsibilities) and, later, the failing Turnpike Trusts. They were abolished following the creation of Rural District Councils in 1894. The East Staincliffe Highway District, named from the ancient wapentake of the same name, also erected a number of boundary stones in the area; these are marked E S H D. All of them enjoy rural settings but are not in green belt areas or Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which could impede applications to change them from reservoirs to residences. It was sold in 2016 by Severn Trent Water and there are now plans to convert and extend the disused buildings and turn them into a four-bedroom house with a modern design built into the hillside.

Creating safe and attractive places by designing-out opportunities for crime and antisocial behaviour through the incorporation of physical and management measures will help to minimise the risk and fear of crime. The location of parking areas should ensure that they create safe and secure places to leave and access vehicles. You’ll find interactive displays and exhibitions at the Learning and Visitor Centres, as well as carved stone tabletsdotted around the pathwaysthat take you on an educational walk through time of the Jurassic Coast. There are various benches along the trail to sit and soak up the views’ s well as a Dolphin Watch hut. There is potential to deliver a positive social effect through design. The design and function of buildings and the space around buildings can help to improve local identity, social wellbeing and health outcomes and discourage crime. Local bus services between Wareham and Swanage passing close to the NNR are provided by Wilts and Dorset Bus Company and First Group.

A social media post from the festival read: “We want to thank the casts and crews of the nine visiting groups, our adjudicator Paul Brennan, everyone who minded groups, booking office, box office, lighting, sound all who helped in the kitchen our supporters Kepak, Longford County Council, Michael and Josephine Cooney and John Nally Circle K.
