About this deal

Y’all, I had to wait over two months for my silicone hot chocolate molds to arrive, so you best believe that I am going to get my money’s worth from them now! Firstly, let’s prepare the ganache: chop the chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl. In a saucepan, heat the cream until it comes to a simmer, then pour it over the chocolate. Cover the bowl with some cling film or foil and let it rest for 5 minutes without mixing. After the 5 minutes have passed, remove the film and whisk gently until all the chocolate has melted, then add the Baileys and combine. Set the ganache aside to rest until you are ready to use it. Tempering: Tempering is the process of carefully cooling and reheating the chocolate to ensure the formation of stable cocoa butter crystals. Proper tempering results in a glossy finish, a satisfying snap when broken, and resistance to melting at room temperature;

Let’s start with creating chocolate spheres: let’s delve into the characteristics of each ingredient – dark chocolate, white chocolate, coconut oil and Christmas sprinkles– to explore how they contribute to the overall charm of these festive treats. Roasting: Once dried, the beans are roasted to bring out their rich flavours. Roasting also removes any remaining moisture and contributes to the chocolate’s characteristic colour. The temperature and duration of roasting influence the final taste of the chocolate; If you don't want to use coarse sugar on top, you can use crushed candy canes or other candies or sprinkles.

Vegan hot chocolate bombes:

Dark Chocolate: Contains a high percentage of cocoa solids and little to no milk solids. It typically has a rich and intense flavour; Use the magic ratio, then adjust as needed. The ratio we like is 1 cup hot chocolate to 1 ounce Baileys. Of course, you can always add more! Place the Bailey's Chocolate Chips in a heat-proof bowl and pour the hot Bailey's over the baking chips. Dark Chocolate: Dark chocolate is rich and intense, with a deep cocoa flavour. The bitterness is balanced by a subtle sweetness, creating a sophisticated taste. When melted and solidified, dark chocolate forms a smooth and glossy finish. It provides a satisfying snap when bitten into and complements the creaminess of other ingredients. In this case, it’s used for the outer shell of chocolate spheres due to its robust flavour; Toppings: Decorate the chocolate bombs with chocolate sprinkles, drizzled chocolate, crushed peppermint candies or candy canes, chopped nuts, small chocolate candies, crushed chocolate wafers, or festive holiday sprinkles. Just use melted chocolate as glue.

Store the hot chocolate Baileys bombs in a cool, dry airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. They can be stored at room temperature, but if it gets too warm, they may melt! 💭 Expert Tips Remove the Bailey’s Ganache from the fridge and use a cookie scoop to portion into 1 1/2″ sized balls.Basic Hot Chocolate Bomb Recipe: Replace the Bailey’s ganache with hot cocoa mix and marshmallows. Spoon one and half tablespoons of hot cocoa mix into the shell along with a heaping tablespoon of mini marshmallows. Measure 1 Tablespoon of the mocha hot cocoa mix into half of the chocolate spheres. Add a Bailey’s truffle to the center of the sphere and then surround with a few mini marshmallows, if desired. Chocolate can have both positive and negative effects on health, depending on the type and quantity consumed. Here are some considerations:
