Binjamin Wilkomirski's first-hand account of the Holocaust was a child's-eye depiction of life in a Polish concentration camp. Published in 1995, it won many prizes and was hailed as a classic of Holocaust literature. Four years later, after doubts over its authenticity, it was withdrawn by its publishers. It appears that the author hadn't sought deliberately to deceive, but really believed the traumatic history he had invented for himself. Gulyas, Aaron John (January 23, 2014). The Chaos Conundrum: Essays on UFOs, Ghosts & Other High Strangeness in Our Non-Rational and Atemporal World. Andrews UK Limited. ISBN 9780991697588– via Google Books. Saler, Ziegler & Moore 1997, p.15: "With the passage of time the UFO community's bias against crashed saucer stories waned. Also, during the 1960s and 1970s various events colluded to produce within the larger society a dramatic erosion of the credibility of government officials, giving new life to the old claim by ufologists that government officials conspired to withhold evidence validating the extraterrestrial hypothesis." Corso story is a flawed story, no matter how you look at it. It is a unknown and probably will remain a unknown till some type of opening up on this subject by the goverment happens. That is of course if the goverment has a real grasp on this subject in the first place? .

In 2005, Nicholas Redfern authored Body Snatchers in the Desert: The Horrible Truth at the Heart of the Roswell Story, [134] a book that suggests the Roswell crash may have been the result of a top secret high-altitude balloon test. According to Redfern's narrative, the test used deformed Japanese POWs acquired after a battle in 1945 on a small island in the Pacific. [135] Redfern suggests the test was part of a program resulting from an import of Japanese scientists after the war in similar vein to Operation Paperclip. The Japanese scientists are alleged to have brought POWs with them to continue experimenting radiation, cosmic ray & high altitude effects on people, including people with progeria. ISBN 9781476623498– via Google Books.I wouldn't come to a final conclusion either way, like a lot of this UFO stuff it's probably got some truths in there combined with stuff that is geared to make Coros look more important or even things that Corso was lead to believe was true but maybe weren't. I had the urge to touch the pale grey skin. But I couldn't tell whether it was skin because it also looked like a very thin one-piece head-to-toe fabric covering the creature's flesh." Corso's description of the body is very much the same as other Roswell witnesses have described the aliens. Smith, Toby (2000). Little Gray Men: Roswell and the Rise of a Popular Culture. Corso again fraudulently inserts himself into history by alleging that as the Army Foreign Technology czar in charge of Roswell he helped President Kennedy decide to send a man to the moon. Corso alleges that he worked on a moon base plan called Project Horizon to help keep the ET's at bay, which plan he urged on Attorney General Robert Kennedy in a pers

Jesse Marcel's interview led to complex conspiracy theories about alien spacecraft recovery and military cover-ups by ufologists. In 1979, over three decades after Roswell, conspiracy theorists began to claim that extraterrestrial occupants had been recovered by the military at Roswell. [8] In response to claims of alien occupants, a second USAF report in 1997 reviewed testimonies about aliens and found them to be baseless, made up, or inspired by parachute dummies. Many believe World War II was the trigger with the rapid advances in military technology including atomic weapons coinciding with the surge in UFO activity.a b c d "New Mexico Rancher's 'Flying Disk' Proves to Be Weather Balloon-Kite". Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Fort Worth, TX. July 9, 1947. pp.1, 4. Colonel Corso also claimed the world was "at war" with extraterrestrials and that the Strategic Defense Initiative project was part of that campaign that was successfully concluded in Earth's favour. When it was released, the book contained a foreword written by longtime U.S. Senator Strom Thurmond, for whom Corso had once served as an aide. Thurmond wrote, "He has many interesting stories to share with individuals interested in military history, espionage and the workings of our Government." The foreword did not mention anything about UFOs, since Thurmond had assumed the book was a straightforward memoir. When he learned about the book's contents, Thurmond stated, "I know of no such 'cover-up,' and do not believe one existed." [1] In 1981, tabloid The Globe told stories of bodies being brought to Roswell. [71] In 1989, in response to an Unsolved Mysteries episode discussing the story of Roswell bodies, mortician Glenn Dennis recounted a tale of a nurse who had assisted in an alien autopsy. [72]
