De când am citit descrierea, mi s-a aprins un beculeț, lupte de MMA, deci pumni împărțiți în stânga și dreapta, transpirație la greu, dar și mușchi de admirat, așa că ce să vreau mai mult?

This book was written by someone who might have wanted to talk about important issues but not truly understand or be able to nuances of the issues. For example, when Sienna and Kayden talk to each other, there is a lot of mention of Alzheimer’s, bipolar, and the term “pussy” all being used as an insult, which I found troubling. To make things worse, God has decided to bestow upon Sienna the presence of Kayden Williams. He's moody, resentful, and has a lot of issues, but he is indeed a great fighter — perhaps one of the best if it weren't for the fact that he has been defeated in the ring by none other than Sienna's ex.He's going to kill me, isn't he? With his beautiful words, kind stares and big, gentle heart. He's truly going to be the death of me."

I’m not a huge fan of angst in my stories, and typical for the YA theme, this is loaded with it. But we also have growth, understanding, tolerance, and love. The fear gets in the way quite a lot but in the end, we do get a happy happily ever after, or so it seems. L’autrice poi è stata bravissima nel farmi percepire l’esatto momento in cui i protagonisti si sono innamorati e l’istante magico in cui hanno rivelato i propri sentimenti. Okay, I am SO HAPPY that this book worked for me in ways that Perfect Illusion didn't. I couldn't get through that one, but this one was so fun to read.I can appreciate what some of the characters were battling with in this story and how their struggles affected the way they went on with their lives. Having a dysfunctional family isn't easy and having an emotionally abusive partner can definitely hinder your trusting abilities. But sometimes those problems arose in the middle of nowhere and went on too long when it just didn't benefit the story.

Sierra and Kayden's romance was nice, I feel like it could be expanded on a bit more in the published novel In general the romance happened pretty fast, but it felt like it didn't because of the training sessions in between. I wouldn't have minded if it wasn't for the previously mentioned tattoos and other stuff I won't spoil. Too fast!!! But they're cute.

Can one woman’s vengeance on her ex lead her to a new love? Or will it tear apart her future forever . . . Sienna is an MMA trainer, and a good one at that. When she walks in on her boyfriend Jax cheating on her with her sister Beth, she doesn't know what to do. But a plan starts to form when fate throws her in the direction of one Kayden Williams, who happens to be Jax's rival in the cage. Both of them need each other more than they think they do. Kayden wants glory and Sienna needs him to fuel her revenge as well as a place to stay. She makes a deal with him to train him for the biggest fight of his life against her own ex-boyfriend in exchange for living in his apartment.

Perfect Addiction stars Kiana Madeira as Sienna. Madeira is best known for playing Deena in Netflix’s Fear Street trilogy. She also played Nora in the After series of films. The After series, like Perfect Addiction, started life on Wattpad and is a similarly angsty romance. Audiences should enjoy seeing Madeira bring to life the character Claudia Tan described as Some parts of this book do feel a bit cliche, like Brent and Evans. But I really thought they were cute together. I also appreciated Sienna having her own friends like Cara and Alex.Kayden has a tender heart and a kind spirit - if not a little tainted from the darkness that he seems to carry around with him. And despite him being hot and cold with me, it's getting much harder for me to stay away." Tan writes sports romance well. She clearly knows her stuff when it comes to boxing and uses common terms to familiarize the reader with the sport and immerse them in the ring. Further, female athletes are typically underrepresented in this subgenre, so I love that both Kayden and Sierra, the two main protagonists, are both skilled at what they do. Kayden was the yin to Sienna's yang. He was everything that she was missing. Maybe it was the way the character was written or the language, but I couldn't get a read on the kind of personality he had. He was desirable sure, but many aspects of his personality just..... clashed. Their relationship felt toxic a lot of times, which is another thing that didn't work out for me. At one point, the push and pull between the characters became too much for me. This is a revenge story, one where I found myself rooting for the characters and other times frustrated. I was pulled into the story. I appreciated the way the characters had to overcome their own issues before getting their HFN. Driven with rage and anger she looks for revenge and trains her ex boyfriend’s enemy, Kayden to fight her ex and win the championship while moving in together.
