About this deal

For many couples, becoming pregnant is getting more challenging; our changing society, lifestyle and environment all contribute to making it more difficult to conceive. Today, around 1 in 6 of us seeks medical help to try to get pregnant and have a baby.

Menstrual cycle disturbances (irregular or absent periods) – this tends to indicate unreliable or absent ovulation (anovulation). Chronic inflammation – is a key contributor to the development of PCOS, high inflammation markers have been shown to correlate with high testosterone levels in PCOS women. Everyone will have advice to give to you on how to get pregnant. ‘Have you tried…?’, ‘why don’t you just…?’ But ultimately, conception starts with the quality of the sperm and the egg. The best way to support your sperm (smallest cell in the body) and egg (largest cell in the body) is by creating a balanced metabolism at a cellular level – and this is exactly how Impryl ®works. The activated micronutrients in Impryl ® bring your body into a fine metabolic balance, allowing your body’s own natural antioxidant, glutathione, to optimise both egg and sperm quality as they develop. There aren’t many fertility supplements that provide this unique type of support. In fact, most fertility supplements provide unbalanced support: in other words, they focus on the benefit of one ingredient over others. Many contain strong antioxidants that can upset this important metabolic balance, damaging sperm and egg quality. But Imrpyl ®is different. Find out more about how Impryl ®can help you. Do you have PCOS? But I was able to see that this supplement has myo-inositol (which I’m well familiar with) as well as alpha-lactalbumin and based on trials it seems to have very promising results.

What Supplements?

I don't take Inofolic but I am taking 4g Inositol plus separate folic acid, which are both equivalent to the 4g inositol + 400 micrograms of folic acid in Inofolic

I dont crave food as much. I’ve lost over a stone in weight. I was never really over weight but still needed to lose some. But I dont know whether it was down to this OR the fact I was on other medication that I had to come off before starting IVF or maybe both. The medication I was on before doesnt increase weight so I have no idea how I managed to lose a lot as I’ve struggled to shift weight for many years. As I said I wasn’t clinically overweight but I was on my high end of my BMI and I didnt want to increase that any more. One study found that 12 weeks of myo-inositol supplementation improved reproductive hormone balance insulin sensitivity and restored the menstrual cycle in all women with PCOS.

It is recommended for patients who suffer from Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) as they often have impaired insulin secretion or impaired insulin sensitivity. This results in high levels of glucose which leads to even more insulin being produced, which can lead to impaired fertility by increasing testosterone levels resulting in anovulation (no egg being released) and irregular periods. The increased risk of developing the above factors has been published by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in Green Top Guide No 33 [2] . These factors are seen more frequently in PCOS women and can predispose to cardiovascular disease (heart problems and/or possibly strokes) and the onset of type 2 diabetes. https://www.rcog.org.uk/guidance/browse-all-guidance/green-top-guidelines/long-term-consequences-of-polycystic-ovary-syndrome-green-top-guideline-no-33/ Greff, D et al. Anyway, we’ve agreed to start trying soon. Obviously I have no idea what will happen, or how badly (or not!) my PCOS will impact my fertility! The crossover in symptoms means that there are a number of steps you can take that will help make PCOS, the menopause and the perimenopause in particular, more manageable: Achieving good quality sleep Another study – focusing on the impact of myo-inositol treatment in women with polycystic ovary syndrome in assisted reproductive technologies – concluded that myo-inositol improves PCOS symptoms. Eur Rev Med Pharmacol Sci 2019; 23 (5): 2293-230If you have PCOS, you may find it difficult to conceive. Inofolic Alpha, the PCOS supplement of choice, has been developed especially for you. Inofolic ®Alpha will help to: Anyways I went for a scan Saturday just gone as I started to bleed after being given tablets to start my period as I do not have monthly cycles. We did nothing different in our routine accept for adding Inofolic Alpha and Impryl. The tablets I was on I have been on before and the tablets do not cause ovulation. The tablets are usually given to people if they want to go on holiday and want to delay their period. Each time I’ve been on the tablets to start the period timing was bad and it kept delaying the start of my ivf treatment. Iz91 I'm ok thank you, it's all still quite raw and I've gone a bit mad with timings and OPKs even tho it's only been 2.5 weeks since I had surgery. How are you doing? PCOS is actually a ‘mixed bag’ of signs and symptoms. Many women that have PCOS will look very different from each other. There is no ‘typical’ as it is so variable. Consequently, diagnosing PCOS is not easy because the patients are often so different from each other (some may be overweight, others slim).
