About this deal

Every newly made ROKIT in the G4 series has onboard room tuning, which means you can adapt it to the specific space in which it is being used. In addition, the new KRK app allows you to analyze the acoustics of the room. This enables you to simply work out the placement, angle and EQ settings for the room. You don’t even need to be an audio engineer or know a lot about music tech to do this. The brand also claims that this is the only monitor in this price range and class that has an LCD EQ, which lets you see the settings in action. The KRK brand has always been known for producing well-made, reasonably affordable studio monitors. While the previous G3 generation wasn’t perfect by any means, they still had a ton going for them. The main driver is KRK's own yellow colored 8' driver. It is biamped with the high frequency driver and puts out 140 watts of sound. They can get very loud. I would not recommend mixing loud if you plan on spending long periods of time mixing. A new low resonance speaker enclosure features a revamped front-firing port, offering exceptional low-end extension, punch and flexible room-positioning. High density open cell acoustic Iso-foam pads decouple the speaker from the surface minimizing vibration transmission for improved clarity. Here, we’ll take a look at what the studio monitor has to offer and if it can truly deliver on its promise as a premier and dynamic sound producer. Are the KRK Rokit 8 G4 Speakers any Good? (in short)

All new front-firing port has exceptional low-end accuracy, clarity, extension, punch and offers flexible room-positioning The RP8 have a built in equalizer for High and low frequencies add five steps for both which was easy to use and see the most suitable for my room size and listening preferences. Simply put, if you’re looking for a powered studio monitor that can produce a serious punch on all frequencies, then there isn’t anything else you’d need.

System-optimized auto-limiter / Prevents unexpected peaks from damaging the speakers and provides consistency and clarity at high volumes From the materials to the sound to many numerous innovations added in, the Rokit 8 has it all and has it all in spades.

The low-end frequencies are handled by an 8-inch Kevlar cone woofer in the KRK Rokit 8 G4. A 1-inch kevlar dome tweeter is used to supplement the lower frequencies. Each driver in a bi-amped arrangement has its own amp to regulate output. The frequency response ranges from 36Hz to 40 kHz. The additional low-end depth helps to the pleasing bass response. There is still enough of space in the high-end for optimal clarity. Options for Tuning For beginners that don’t know of the various intricacies of powered studio monitor placement, the KRK audio tools app feature can have them perfectly station their speakers on the first try. Front-firing port / Allows placement flexibility (i.e. near walls) without interference from a rear-firing port I’m not saying that I expected a laundry list of different ports and connection points to play with. However, the fact that it only has a single entryway, and nothing else, definitely takes a bit of the wind out of these largely impressive sails. While the connection options are more than a bit sparse, the same, fortunately, won’t be said about its tuning capabilities.

No, it doesn’t come with a sub or anything, however, the bass is so impressive, that you won’t need one. KRK Rokit 8 G4 improves on the previous version. A sturdy monitor with a slew of features rarely found at this price point. A fantastic option for serious manufacturers. Stepping into the realm of 8-inch displays opens up a slew of excellent options. One of these is the Rokit 8 G4 of the following generation. In this study, let's take a close look at what this new generation has to offer. The sweet spot is also big, making them a good choice for producers who roam around in their studio. The powerful 203W Class D amplifier produces an amazing 111dB SPL. More than adequate volume for usage in the studio. Clarity and balance are superb even at greater volumes. Well, My mix's are coming out much much better. These speakers don't sound amazing to me, (obviously because they are not hyped) but they sound just fine for listening and are quite loud with plenty of bass. Obviously they are designed to translate well not to make you think they sound good. Isn't this the real reason for buying monitors? Fluid mechanics fully tuned to the entire system resulting in consistent air pressure behaviour at any volume creates an unprecedentedly wide, deep and dynamic listening “sweet-spot” with incredible imaging and 3D soundstage.
