In addition, the new KRK app allows you to analyze the acoustics of the room. This enables you to simply work out the placement, angle and EQ settings for the room. You don’t even need to be an audio engineer or know a lot about music tech to do this. The brand also claims that this is the only monitor in this price range and class that has an LCD EQ, which lets you see the settings in action. The KRK brand has always been known for producing well-made, reasonably affordable studio monitors. While the previous G3 generation wasn’t perfect by any means, they still had a ton going for them. The main driver is KRK's own yellow colored 8' driver. It is biamped with the high frequency driver and puts out 140 watts of sound. They can get very loud. I would not recommend mixing loud if you plan on spending long periods of time mixing. The low-end frequencies are handled by an 8-inch Kevlar cone woofer in the KRK Rokit 8 G4. A 1-inch kevlar dome tweeter is used to supplement the lower frequencies. Options for Tuning For beginners that don’t know of the various intricacies of powered studio monitor placement, the KRK audio tools app feature can have them perfectly station their speakers on the first try. No, it doesn’t come with a sub or anything, however, the bass is so impressive, that you won’t need one. KRK Rokit 8 G4 improves on the previous version. The powerful 203W Class D amplifier produces an amazing 111dB SPL. More than adequate volume for usage in the studio. Clarity and balance are superb even at greater volumes. Well, My mix's are coming out much much better. These speakers don't sound amazing to me, (obviously because they are not hyped) but they sound just fine for listening and are quite loud with plenty of bass. Obviously they are designed to translate well not to make you think they sound good. Isn't this the real reason for buying monitors? Fluid mechanics fully tuned to the entire system resulting in consistent air pressure behaviour at any volume creates an unprecedentedly wide, deep and dynamic listening “sweet-spot” with incredible imaging and 3D soundstage.
