About this deal
The biggest problem with taking moisture readings, is finding the affected areas, even if the surface has a covering. The search mode provides a non-invasive technique for scanning walls and floors for moisture without damaging the surface. For deeper readings, the Surveymaster comes standard with a pair of deep wall probes, which can be plugged into the side of the unit. The right moisture meter makes all the difference! And Protimeter have made many improvements to enhance the all new, third generation Protimeter Surveymaster. Hammer electrode – this heavy duty external probe is ideal for conducting frequent moisture measurements in softwood or occasional readings in hardwood. Non-invasive pinless radio frequency finds moisture at depth where moisture is not always directly visible – up to 3/4 in (25.4 mm) below the surface.
EIFS electrode – suitable for measuring moisture content in External Insulation and Finishing Systems (EIFS). Protimeter moisture meters by applications and functions The Protimeter Surveymaster features a digital LCD display supported by the Protimeters revolutionary colour display which is a collection of 60 LEDs divided into color-coded zones signify moisture readings of the material under investigation. The green, yellow, and red color-coded zones indicate the following:When reading the damp measurement using the search mode, the scale runs from 0 to 999 WME. The higher the The actual moisture content of wood is shown on the digital display with the corresponding moisture condition shown on the accompanying scale of color-coded lights.
It is ideal for locating and measuring moisture problems in homes and building materials such as timber/wood, gib board etc.Exterior Insulation and Finished Systems (EIFS) probe finds moisture in exterior insulation finishing systems The Protimeter Survymaster features two displays that are synchronized, a digital LCD display supported by a colour-coded LED scale. A low or no reading will occur if the pins are placed onto a painted or varnished surface. Similarly a covering like vinyl will not hold moisture and provide a low reading. The search mode is used to assess the moisture level beneath the surface of solid walls and floors independently of surface conditions. The nominal depth of the measurement is 3/4 inch (19 mm); this depends on the density and other characteristics of the material being measured. When held against the surface, as shown below, the instrument transmits a signal into the material. The relative moisture level is shown on the digital display and its moisture condition is shown on the accompanying scale of colour-coded lights. This measurement presentation helps the user to:
