Another issue for me at least is that many recipes will only last a day or two in the fridge or even one or two weeks. Some last months, others up to a year (usually canned). Most though, seem rather perishable & need refrigeration. Like the author, I live in a tiny log cabin. Mine is a historic late 1700's log cabin. I have no room for anything. A second refrigerator would have to reside in my main living space. As it is, we sometimes have to use an extra freezer & it sits next to the couch. It doesn't create a comfortable living space. I feel like I'm in my barn. So I do what I can to put up the food I grow in ways that do not require an extra refrigerator or freezer. Once the story got going, things got better. The narrative started out very vague. It was in a hurry to get into the meat of the story (couldn't help it), which made for a bit of a weak start, but once things got rolling it became much more complex and detail oriented. The delightful story of five animal friends who decide to go for a row on the bay. Do you know who sank the boat? First published in 1996. Hi hope you can help. Hi My niece now aged 26 is looking for a childhood book about a little girl who moves house with her family. The reading level is probably around 6 or 7? The wind blew, and blew, and blew! It blew so hard, it took everything with it – Mr. White’s umbrella, Priscilla’s balloon, the twins’ scarves, even the wig on the judge’s head. Can I trust you? I mean, to tell you this story I need to know that you can keep a couple of secrets. I’m already in a whole lot of trouble, and it’s not just me. But I want to tell you everything that happened. Everything. I’ll assume that you can keep the important stuff secret and not pass this book on to anyone older than twenty. I’ve been paying attention, and I’m pretty sure that’s when a person’s sense of humor starts leaking out. If somebody is that old, this isn’t their kind of story, anyway. Hi there! Sorry, can’t remember much of it now, besides that.A reassuring tale of the love and affection of a parent for a child whatever the circumstances. First published in 1997. Another book was sort of a blue-ish color, the cover was a hardcover, and fairly big. It had a story of the musicians from Bremen at the end of the book. That’s the clearest detail. The cover itself looked almost hand drawn, like pencil crayon scribbles. I can see a nose and two eyes in the bushes! cries Hattie. How on earth can Mr Magnolia splash in the puddles with everyone else? First published in 1980. They came out possibly around the same time as the Rose Petal Place stories. I’d gotten them all for that same Christmas, I was between 6 and 10 at the time, and would really love to have them again, or at least see them for nostalgia’s sake. Bean: who wasn't exactly invited, but her parents own a costume shop, which comes in handy if you want to dress up like a giant squirrel and try to scare people at the zoo.
