I like the softness and understated elegance of this scent. Something very gentle and kind somehow... wierd description I know but that's exactly how I perceive this beauty. Smelling it in the box I think of peaches, but the only fruit appears to be lime. It's a heady floral/woody scent. I LOVE this fragrance, the opening is creamy and very uplifting and the mid notes and dry down become increasingly herbal and woody until what's left is quite a masculine warmth. I like that it's not overtly feminine all the way through. It's quite potent in a pleasing way, not so much in your face as confidently apparent. I find myself falling in and out of love with this one. Now it's love again and I'm glad I can enjoy wearing it. This was not at all what I expected. I anticipated something, old, old school lavendery, pine cologne, spawn of the eponymous time period.Anyway, fast forward to 2021, and I had a little bottle, lying around, actually for over a year!! Lol and I was thinking of getting rid of it. I tried it on, one last time, and WOW! Just WOW!

I am one to judge a book by the cover or a scent by the bottle. I go for those minimalist, elegant bottles and never even look at designs like this.I imagine I will reach for this one the same way I reach for Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline -- when I want to smell clean and don't want to go through the rigmarole of matching outfit and mood to scent in any statement-making way. I would call this a chameleon perfume: good for blending into any setting while still smelling lovely. As a true lover of opulent forals and rich orientals, I need not ask for more in daily use during hot summers. My signature spray this is my go to fragrance when I'm not sure if what to wear at any given situation it never fails me... This will get you a ton of Compliments it's a beast on my skin.. Definitely try it out On the negative side, this fragrance only lasts 5 hours and projects average to below-average on my skin, so I suspect my bottle of Cerruti 1881 for Men has been reformulated and is yet another victim in the war on oakmoss. Shame! This (20y.o. version)is a nice citrus Aromatic! It opens with a dull citrus, "dirty" pine blast & subtle musk. Settles to a dull citrus, "dirty" grass, faint musk; Finally to a woodsy mint skin scent.
