About this deal
They’re just brilliant and I’m very happy that Keen have retained this feature in the updated design.
Keen Targhee II vs III - OutdoorCrunch Keen Targhee II vs III - OutdoorCrunch
If you’ll be hiking mostly in dry climates or want a more breathable shoe, both the mid-height and low-top boots are offered in mesh-heavy Vent versions that do away with the Keen.If you want the cream of the crop, we recommend the comfortable, durable, and stable Hoka Kaha 2 GTX or Salomon Quest 4 Gore-Tex. The wide sole gives added stability, but with a pronounced rocker and sole flex, this boot did not do as well in edging tests.
Keen Women’s Targhee III Waterproof Hiking Boots
Note 2: It also seems like Keen accidentally skipped adding the "waterproof" expression in the title of men's wide option for Targhee II (shoe) in their site. It still fits on the wide end of the spectrum, but our size 12 was snugger overall and the toe box felt more proportional to the rest of the boot. The Targhee III is a new generation of boot that builds on the award-winning successes of its predecessors, but with an updated look and new materials. For more serious day hiking and backpacking, there are a plethora of models we prefer over the Durand including the Salomon X Ultra 3 Mid GTX.
