About this deal

Because this matte elegance of amber harmonizes excellently with the dominant earthy-resinous spice. Serge Luten’s fragrance house comes from the old world perfumery which their fragrances reflect. By saying something appreciates and works on values from the last century doesn’t mean their fragrances smell old. The warm, and tame base will remind you of many more expensive niche amber fragrances which obviously were “ inspired” by Ambre Sultan, just don’t recreate this kind of powerful experience. Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan is a fragrance journey everyone should experience at least a couple of times. It is not the easiest amber fragrance to wear, but that is not a downside in my opinion. I’m yet to receive a compliment or a comment of any kind regarding this one, and this is understandable. It is not one of those easy-to-wear designers or niche perfumes.

The same applies here since it comes in the same presentation as with other Serge Lutens fragrances. Take your senses on a journey with the Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan Eau de Parfum. Wander through the streets of Marrakech and uncover hidden treasures with this aromatic scent, marking a return to a focus on the identity and authenticity of unique ingredients. Rich and exotic like a fragment of amber resin, the fragrance is not an Oriental, but an Arab and a Lutens. For lovers of resinous, spicy, and quality amber perfumes, skip all other more hyped perfumes, and get this Serge Lutens first. You will be pleasantly surprised.

I’m being modest when I say that it lasts around 8 – 10 hours with moderate projection since it depends on where you wear it and on which occasions. Ambre Sultan has two kinds of flankers which are the oily version Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan Confit de Parfum which provides a more intimate experience, and the Zellige Limited Edition which was released in 2020. Ambre Sultan fans, Serge Lutens has created a sensory new way to experience your favourite fragrance! The Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan Confit de Parfum is the same best-selling fragrance, but it now features a new oil-like texture that hugs the skin to heighten Serge Lutens’ amber-filled scent. Discover this innovative way to intensify and prolong your scent now.. Would I recommend Ambre Sultan as the reference amber today? Maybe, but more than likely not. Ambre Sultan straddles the line between classic and contemporary well enough to feel timeless, which is a great virtue, and it feels more complete to me than some of the others that get nearly as much attention. In that regard, you gotta give it credit.

Serge Lutens’ Ambre Sultan is the Elvis Presley of amber fragrances – it’s left the building, but its influence is still felt everywhere. Its sugar rush of resins playing tag with dry, aromatic herbs is a motif riffed on by countless ambers since, such as Mitzah, Amber Absolute, and, though Chanel would rather die than admit it, even a teeny tiny corner of Le Lion.If you’re a fan of the best-selling Serge Lutens scent and you’re looking for a new way to experience your favourite perfume, you’ll love the sensory texture of this Confit de Parfum. The gel-like concentration prolongs and intensifies the fragrance, taking you straight from morning to night in one application. If, like me, you find your Eau de Parfum doesn’t quite last as long as you’d like, you’ll love that a little goes a long way with this perfume; a gentle touch is enough for each application. During a spontaneously warm amber reception, we are served from a mysterious elongated bottle of fragrance. Welcome. Something Bruneian? With the irritating fertility of tropical nights Upon the first spray, I knew this was something special, just as was my experience with Chergui. Equally enticing, and somewhat scary, with each new wearing, Ambre Sultan unfold itself more and eventually, told me the whole story. Ambre Sultan is a very perfumey, very herbal amber. It's a touch honeyed and more than a touch doughy, with its sweetness balanced by the medicinal tones of bay leaf (which is almost overdosed here, giving Ambre Sultan its "signature") and oregano. If the combination of bay leaf and oregano does not sound appealing to you, then stay away from this one. Nearly 3 decades after its creation, “Ambre sultan” has lost none of its power, splendor, and racy character. It remains one of the most beautiful testimonies ever given to Arab culture and its history.” Notes and Classification

In ideal conditions, I could smell this one even after showering, and the next day. Don’t overspray, and keep the number of applications to a lower level since the initial projection, and sillage can get the wrong kind of attention from your coworkers or new people you meet. This aromatic greenness is accompanied by a set of supporting notes of myrtle, coriander, and angelica root which act more of a supporting role that blends into other aromatic qualities of this scent, rather than taking the front role.
